Who Can Use the Agogae Trail?

The short answer to this question is that any group with participants over twelve years of age may reserve either the low or high ropes courses of the Agogae Trail (or Both!).  Camp Monroe will provide facilitators to make sure your experience is safe, and to help you process what you have done during the day as a group.  We commend this course to any youth group, staff, church, session, civic, volunteer, or other group that has an interest in learning how they work together, and challenging themselves to grow as a group and individually.  If you let us know in advance that there are specific things your group needs to address, we can work with you to tailor make an experience that your group will enjoy and be enriched by.

In the summer camping program who goes on the Agogae Trail?

Campers over the age of twelve will have the opportunity to participate in both the high and low elements of The Agogae Trail. The facilitators of each group will choose low initiatives. The low initiatives that are chosen will depend upon the make-up and ability of the group. Some groups spend longer on one element than others, so the elements chosen will vary from group to group.

These campers will also have the opportunity to experience Camp Monroe’s high elements. Facilitators are trained to lead groups through the course, and they also go over all safety regulations with each group before the first person steps inside of the Tube Net to enter our high ropes course. The high elements of The Agogae Trail give campers the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their limits, and their faith (the term "leap of faith" can take on a new meaning after traversing the Postman’s Walk or Burma Bridge).
