Kirkwood Camp and Conference Center and Camp Monroe exist to help its participants relate to God, self, others, and the world in an outdoor setting.

Participants—young and old; male and female; all races—will relate to God, self, others, and the world through a variety of camp program models such as:

• Minister’s Retreats
• Church Educator Retreats
• Youth Retreats
• Confirmation Retreats
• Mission Retreats
• Summer Camp for children and youth to include resident camps, day camps, adventure camps, leadership development camps, and service camps
• Hospitality to guests

These program models implemented in the outdoor setting will provide its participants a different view of God, self, others, and the world than is typically found in the home, work, school, or congregational settings.

• Feeling spiritually refreshed
• Feeling closer to God
• Feeling challenged by God to serve humanity
• Feeling in sync with God’s creation
• Feeling closer to friends and family
• Feeling God’s presence in their lives
• Feeling joy in their lives

Upon leaving the camp setting, participants may attend church more often, may decide to sing in the choir, may choose the ministry as a vocation, may decide to serve the community actively, or they may decide to accept the grace and love of God through Jesus Christ.

Whatever our participants decide or do, their lives and their relationships will be changed!
