Meeting Spaces
Hafer Dining Hall - Hafer Hall is our dining hall which can seat 200 people for a meal or meeting. Day groups may use this space for a meeting whether or not they use our dining facilities. For overnight groups that are using our meal service, there is no additional charge beyond the meals for use of this space. We provide food service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner year round for groups of 30 or more. The building is heated for year-round use.
Boyd Hall - Boyd Hall is a large open air building that easily holds 250 or more for a meeting. This space is great for groups that would like to have an event on the grounds of camp, but would like to have a place to meet, or a place big enough to handle the event of inclement weather. There are restroom facilities in the building, electricity, seating, and a fire place. This space does not have heat or air-conditioning, so it is more suited for spring, early summer, and fall.
McKnight Lodge - Day groups of up to 35 can fit in the main meeting area, and use other living rooms/bed rooms for break out spaces. You also have access to McKnight's kitchen. McKnight has central heat and air throughout the building. A TV with DVD player is available to those using McKnight Lodge as well.
Picnic Shelter - Boy Scouts, Family Reunion Groups, and anyone looking for a covered space for a picnic or other event will enjoy Camp Monroe's Picnic Shelter. Located in close proximity to our lake, fire circle, and bathhouse, the Picnic Shelter is perfect for groups who want an outdoor feel to their event with the assurance of shade and cover.
McKnight Lodge - McKnight Lodge can be used by residential or day groups (see above for day rental details). Groups from 6 - 26 can rent McKnight Lodge for their group's overnight use. McKnight lodge offers the comfort of central heat and air, the convenience of a kitchen, and the ability to meet 35 people in its central living room with two other living areas to be used as break out spaces. A TV with DVD player is available to those using McKnight Lodge.
Efficiency Cabin - This cabin is located very close to McKnight Lodge and is perfect for a group to rent that is just a tad to large for McKnight, or has a speaker or leadership that you would like to house separately. The cabin has a full bed and one set of bunk beds, as well as its own bathroom and kitchenette (small refrigerator, oven/range, microwave), and a dining area for 4. This cabin is also heated and air-conditioned. Pastors in the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina may use this space for continuing education for up to a week each year at no charge. This facility is available for use from early August to mid May. (it is not available during summer camp.)
Unit B Cabins - The four cabins in Unit B are located directly across from McKnight Lodge, and have been renovated to promote year round use. All four cabins have been redone including new doors, windows, lighting, carpet, and propane heating units so they can be used year round. Each cabin can sleep up to 10 year round (4 sets of bunk beds and two stand alone twin beds) for a total capacity of 40. All four cabins share a central bathhouse with hot water that is within easy walking distance of each cabin.
Summer Cabins - Looking for a more rustic feel for your event? Then try some of our summer cabins. Each cabin can sleep between 10 and 12 people. There are 4 summer cabins in each of Units A, C, and D that have electricity, but no heat or air conditioning. Each one of the units has its own centrally located bathhouse with hot water that is within easy walking distance of the cabins.
